Building Equitable and Antiracist Workplaces
Does this sound familiar?
Your workplace made a big push for diversity, equity, and inclusion in 2020, but now any initiatives have stalled. Or maybe your office never invested in these efforts at all, and you feel like you are on your own demanding change without any institutional buy-in.
This is a common story—many organizations have scaled back their equity efforts while others never got beyond public statements or the occasional DEI committee meeting. What does lasting change look like and how do organizations make real progress toward racial equity?
Join us for this online workshop series to explore how to embed equity into your organization and commit to the hard work of antiracism. We’ll share how to have meaningful conversations about race and discuss concrete steps for taking action (even when you don’t have the support of everyone in your office).
This is a four-week online workshop series that includes:
Online Lessons
Watch self-paced video modules whenever it fits your schedule.
Coursework
Deepen understanding with resources, reflections, and exercises to try at home.
Dialogue
Find support, ask questions, and connect in a two-part facilitated online discussion.
How It Works
This is a self-guided workshop series participants can complete at their own pace. Once registration closes, participants receive a password-protected link to access online lessons and download coursework materials. Participants receive an email with a private Zoom link before the online discussions. We suggest participants set aside at least 6 - 8 hours over the duration of the workshop to complete the videos, coursework, and discussions.
Who Should Attend
All parents and caregivers are welcome to attend. This workshop is geared toward parents and caregivers of children from infancy through middle school. Families of all racial backgrounds are encouraged to participate. Individuals and groups are welcome to participate. We encourage you to sign up with other people from your PTA, community, or organization.
We are committed to making our workshops available to as many people as possible. To ensure we reach participants across income levels, we offer multiple registration tiers. All participants have access to the full workshop series, regardless of what registration tier you’re able to pay.
